About the Regional HR Manager Role

Reporting to the VP, People Operations, the Regional HR Manager will support a growing organization and team by providing strategic HR services to myAgro’s global country operations.  This role is about innovation and execution!  You will not only design and create the systems, processes, and trainings to ensure the HR team is serving its internal customers, but also be responsible for ensuring timely project execution

You will contribute to the overall strategic HR direction and assist all myAgro Country Programs’ efforts in strategic workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, talent development, employee relations, retention, compensation, benefits, and orientation/onboarding in support of high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable.


Processes and Systems

  • Ensure HR systems, policies, process, and practices meet the standards for operational excellence.
  • Ensure that each country HR team fulfills a set of baseline requirements. Regularly audit local HR processes against these requirements.
  • Perform HR audits to ensure HR systems, policies, processes, and practices meet organization, donor, and local legal requirements and standards and support operational excellence.
  • Organize and maintain HR workflows, compliance and help drive people management effectiveness across every department and sub-division of the business. 
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Ensures and maintains compliance with employment and benefits laws and regulations in all myAgro countries.

People Management

  • In collaboration with managers, build succession plans for the key roles.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and develop solutions to complex employee issues and concerns.
  • Design and deliver employee training programs (e.g. individual, team, skill-based and management training).
  • Coach management and field leaders on relationship building, leadership, and employee retention.
  • Identifies trends and provide guidance to management to mitigate employee relations issues and promote a positive work culture.

Communication and Strategy

  • Provide analytical reports on HR data, metrics and trends to management.
  • Create plans for project execution and delegate tasks to team as necessary.
  • Create and maintain close cooperation and ensure bi-directional feedback with other myAgro HR leaders at the country program level.
  • Support recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Global HR team by sourcing candidates, screening CVs, conducting interviews, and assisting with offer letter preparation and onboarding.


  • Minimum of seven years work experience in HR or similar field, with at least three with an international organization, with strong knowledge of HR best practices and standards.
  • Experience with and demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and advise on employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices for various countries (W. Africa preferred).
  • A highly structured approach to work that allows to effectively maneuver through a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures.
  • Experience in project management from planning to execution.
  • A background in engagement and relationship building.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
