About People Operations Associate role

The People Operations Associate position is a core role within myAgro that helps accelerate our ability to scale, reach 100% sustainability and increase our impact. Focusing on building relationships and developing teams, our People Operations team is ready for a driven, dedicated, knowledgeable, personable and passionate individual to join us!

Reporting to the Senior People Operations Associate and working closely with teams across the organization, you will be part of a group that is responsible for helping myAgro reach its ambitious goals in West Africa. You will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day activity of the department and to provide excellent assistance and support to the team. You will also have the critical task of making sure our processes comply with all legal local regulations.

Most importantly, you will be supporting our overall mission by working with the team that hires, motivates, and engages the staff to do their best work- both in and out of the fields in West Africa!


  • Build a high-performing People Operations team that provides excellent service to the field and office team members
  • Manage People Operations based projects such as salary surveys, team engagement activities, and staff trainings
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, in particular with contract management
  • Head and provide support in various recruitment initiatives, including the recruitment of hundreds of high quality team members throughout the year
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of myAgro Mali by engaging the team in the office and on your weekly visits to the field
  • Manage the organization of all People Operations administrative tasks
  • Assist in payroll processing

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business management or related field
  • French and English proficiency
  • Experience in project management from planning to execution.
  • Proven ability to be very customer oriented minded
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Great attention to detail 

Preferred qualifications

  • One year experience in the supervision of teams
  • Experience or knowledge of local West African laws
